As shown in the figure, we can see that the wave's wavelength is limited to one of the values that fits inside the box. This is also shown in the figure. Because only certain wavelengths can be used, this means that only certain wavelengths can be used. As the de Broglie relationship shows, the electron's energy is linked to its wavelength. This means that the energy is also limited to a set of values (see Mathematical Box 2.4).
When we keep in mind that the electron's kinetic power is limited by its mass and also its momentum, we can see that the total power is limited to one value from a group of others. Quantifying energy into "power degrees" means that the energy is broken down into a group of units called "power degrees." You can find expressions for the power worths in Box 2.5. Also, there is a lot more information there as well. The same thing happens when we look at Number 2.5. We can see that the space between degrees gets bigger as the power increases. We can now start to see some of the correct-ties of atoms that will be talked about at the end of Chapter 1. People who study quantum physics don't know what will happen before they do it, so we'll use this example to talk about that idea.
The figure 2.5 for the power states of an electron in a box, these are the energy levels and wave features that it has. If there are waves at the edges of the box, they can't be there. The size of the box must be equal to a whole number of half waves. This also limits the amount of energy that can be used, which is another thing that is affected by this. Each of these is shown. Each of them has a very long wave length and is very cheap to run. Same as in Box 2.5 of Mathematical Boxes 2.
Visitor: "The uncertainty principle by Heisenberg" may be something they've heard of before. Heisenberg was an important figure in quantum physics. This is named in honor of him. Before Schrödinger came up with his equation, he came up with his own way to study the subject. If you want to know two physical things at the same time, like the position and speed of a bit, it's hard to figure out how to do that. Unpredictability is what this is called. A particle in our package is easy to see how this works when we describe it.
